Willem A. Hoekstra M MBA AFBCI BCCE started his career with ABN AMRO bank in 1998, running Management Accounting and other COO projects. He holds an MBA, a Dutch master’s degree in Communication Science, and a Propedeuse degree in Economics. In 2001, he engaged with Business Continuity Management for the first time. He has since run BCM programs for Head Office as well as regional environments, consecutively at ABN AMO, RBS, Societe Generale and currently Nomura. Willem is also a thought leader in Business Continuity and Crisis Management in the financial industry and has presented on BCM related topics at numerous conferences and seminars around the globe.
