Chadi leads the Asia-Pacific Cybersecurity practice of Wavestone, a global advisory company. For over a decade, he has helped companies assessing their risk and maturity levels, and designing associated solutions. He has a focus on information security to support innovative technologies (Big Data, Internet of Things, Cloud computing…) as well as prevention and reaction against cyberattacks (Incident Response, Red Team approaches…).

Laurence (Laurie) is the Director of Resilience for SPS, a Security and Risk Management Consultancy established in 1991 which operates worldwide. He is responsible for developing plans, training programmes and operational delivery to large corporate and media organisations. Laurie is a Certified Protection Professional and Associate Member of the Business Continuity Institute, holding a Masters in Terrorism Studies, and a BSc (Hons) in International Studies. He is an authorised trainer on a UK Government endorsed training programme, which is particularly focused on training counter terrorism awareness in “soft target” (‘crowded areas’). With extensive strategic, tactical and operational experience Laurie aims to assist in protecting employees, contractors, visitors and your business (both in a physical and brand and reputational sense) across corporates and the business world generally. Laurie has submitted well received advisory documents to the UK Government regarding his analysis on UK government counter terrorism frameworks. Prior to joining SPS, Laurie was Director of Crisis Management and Business Continuity, for a major Dax 100 company, with responsibility for over 50,000 employees, across a wide range of specialist areas which included Crisis Avoidance, Travel Security, and Horizon Scanning and Intelligence. Laurie developed and delivered a comprehensive award winning program which exceeded industry standards as judged by external peers. Laurie has worked across all aspects of security: This commenced with military service as a Royal Marine Commando for over 7 years and then over 7 years as a Police Officer specialising in surveillance and covert test-­purchase drugs buying. Entering the private security industry in 2003, he has worked at strategic, tactical and operational levels;­ as a consultant, close protection operative in hostile environments including Iraq;­ and as the Operations Manager for the UK FCO and the International Stabilisation and Rehabilitation Team in Libya (2011). As a trained ship security officer Laurie has worked extensively on counter terrorism and counter piracy in various geographical areas. Laurie has developed comprehensive security frameworks for media corporations at major sporting events, and high net worth and significant personalities across the world.

Tyn holds a Bachelor degree in Logistics Management and started his career in 2004 when he joined Acer at the EMEA head office in Switzerland. At Acer he was responsible for claims management, loss prevention and security management. In November 2007 he moved to Shanghai to establish loss control programs with McLarens Young International, a loss adjusting, surveying and claims handling firm In October 2010, Tyn joined TNT Express and became the Greater China Security Training and Solution Manager and was also responsible for (aviation) security, investigations, export controls and business continuity for all facilities in Hong Kong which include offices, depots, warehouses and the regional aviation hub as well as the Gateways in Mainland China. Currently Tyn works for Panalpina as Regional Head of Security & Customs for Asia Pacific with responsibility for all aspects of security, except cyber security. Tyn also leads the Customs Competence Center for the region. In Hong Kong Tyn also contributes his time to the ASIS International chapter as Chairman. Regionally he volunteers as Incident Information System (IIS) manager and as trainer for the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) Asia Pacific chapter.

Willem A. Hoekstra M MBA AFBCI BCCE started his career with ABN AMRO bank in 1998, running Management Accounting and other COO projects. He holds an MBA, a Dutch master’s degree in Communication Science, and a Propedeuse degree in Economics. In 2001, he engaged with Business Continuity Management for the first time. He has since run BCM programs for Head Office as well as regional environments, consecutively at ABN AMO, RBS, Societe Generale and currently Nomura. Willem is also a thought leader in Business Continuity and Crisis Management in the financial industry and has presented on BCM related topics at numerous conferences and seminars around the globe. Paul Jackson is a Hong Kong-based Managing Director for Stroz Friedberg where he assists clients with incident response, forensics, cyber security, insider threat, online frauds and other types of investigation. He moved to this role in 2015 after a five year spell with JPMorgan which included work as Global Head of High Tech Investigations based out of New York. Prior to this, Paul spent 22 years with the Hong Kong Police Force where he helped pioneer digital forensic and cyber investigation techniques, as well as taking a lead on capacity building efforts with Interpol throughout Asia and Europe.

Sean is the Chief Inspector leading the collaboration teams of the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau of the Hong Kong Police Force. Majority of his police career are related to information and cyber security, commercial crime and technology crime investigation. In addition, he is a Team second-in-charge of the Police Negotiation Cadre. He holds a MBA and an MSc in Information Systems Management, is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). In 2012, he was honored with the Asia-Pacific Information Security Leadership Achievements as Senior Information Security Professional.

Kevin is currently Consultant of Engage – A Technology and Risk Advisory Practice. Kevin has a strong Technical IT Network and Cyber Security Background, whose knowledge and skills learnt from practically working in IT Security Engineer at the Largest Multi-purpose Entertainment Property in Macau, a dynamic and large Corporation with 20000+ employees. Kevin possesses understanding of Critical Incidence Response, Vulnerability Remediation and proactively protecting mission critical 24/7/365 Business operations.

A former police officer and corporate security manager, Damian has extensive experience of security operations and emergency response planning in both the public and private sectors. As an Inspector in the Hong Kong Police for fifteen years, Damian served in operational, intelligence and training roles before joining Hong Kong’s Mass Transit Railway Corporation (MTRC Limited) in a facilities security role in 2004. A security consultant since 2006, he has focused on the design of operational, crisis and manpower plans for a series of significant commercial property and infrastructure developments throughout the region. He has specialised in threat, risk and vulnerability assessments, and on security solution concept design, implementation and project management for multinational clients. He has consulted extensively on security for clients in the hospitality, banking and finance industries, as well as on government master planning projects. Damian Joined Arup in 2010 and leads the East Asia Resilience | Security | Risk practice, heading a specialist team of planners and engineers and providing security consulting services to other disciplines within Arup and direct to Clients. He is a Certified Protection Professional (2008) and is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security.

Mr. Totti Karpela has 24 years of active law enforcement work including work as the supervisor of a National police threat management service. In his previous work with the police he specialized in domestic violence prevention, stalking and threats against law enforcement and judicial officials. Mr. Karpela also worked nine years as a member of the hostage negotiations team of the National SWAT unit. In his current role in the private sector Mr. Karpela has worked with presidential candidates, media companies, banks and insurance companies, aviation industry, celebrities, educational facilities as well as multi-national corporations specializing in threat assessment and case management. He provides behavioral and security consultation in numerous global corporations on a weekly basis. He also trains and consults companies such as Cathay Pacific, HSBC, Hong Kong MTR, NokiaSiemens, KONE and Wärtsilä Corportaion.

Peter Messervy served in the UK Army for 27 years, a career which encompassed a range of conflicts around the globe. Since 2008, when he shed his uniform for a suit, he has worked in Asia in a variety of roles including building management, training, logistics and now security.

Michael was trained as an Electronics Engineer, sponsored thru the British Army and has a broad knowledge of Security and IT Strategy, Design, Procurement and Project Management thru international Consultancy engagements in Asia, Europe and USA for a range of Clients in Government, Finance, Property, Transport and Leisure sectors. He has a strong understanding of Built Environment and associated Design, Construction and Operation issues. He was formerly Asia Leader for Arup’s Risk and Technology Practice, a Global Engineering Consulting Practice, where he worked for 18 years, prior to starting Engage in 2011. He is a Fellow of both the Hong Kong Institute of Engineering (HKIE) and Institute of Engineering & Technology (IET) and Technical Expert Advisor in both Hong Kong High-Court and UAE. He is also a former Award Winner, “Outstanding Individual in Industry”, Systems & Architecture category, RFP Magazine Annual Awards (2009).
