Wenjie YEAU is the Director (Defence Technology Office - U.S.). Stationed in the Singapore Embassy in Washington DC, his office manages the U.S. – SG Defence Technology portfolio and strives to foster technology collaboration with U.S. government, industry and academia entities through close coordination with relevant stakeholders in Singapore.<br /> Wenjie started his career in Singapore’s Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) as a project engineer involved in the acquisition of flight simulators to support the RSAF’s training. Subsequently, he also served tenures in the National Security Engineering Centre (NSEC) to provide technology consultancy services for national security applications and the Future Systems and Technology Directorate (FSTD) to manage MINDEF’s R&D portfolio. Just before taking on the Dir (DTO-US) role, Wenjie was the Head Capability Development (Space) in DSTA to lead the delivery of Space capabilities for Singapore to meet Whole-of-Government requirements.<br /> Wenjie graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He also holds a Master’s degree in Management of Technology as well as another Master’s degree in Space Systems Operations.
