Steve Murphy is the European Lead for Strategy and Business Development for Hydrogen and Decarbonisation at Yokogawa Europe B.V., with nearly three decades of global experience across the energy, oil & gas, chemicals, metals and mining, and pharmaceutical industries. Over the past three years, he has been fully dedicated to the hydrogen sector, focusing on its scale-up and role in industrial decarbonisation through automation and digitalisation. In his role, Steve works closely with teams across Europe to support emerging hydrogen customers, connect strategy with execution, and align regional initiatives with Yokogawa’s vision for sustainable industrial transformation. A seasoned commercial and strategic leader, he has a strong track record in developing growth strategies, leading cross functional teams, and delivering complex, multi-million-euro projects. Beyond his professional role, Steve is personally motivated by a clear purpose: to help build a more sustainable and resilient future. As a father, he is driven by the belief that today’s industrial and energy decisions must create a better world for the next generation —including his own children.
