Production Sound Mixer, Educator & Co-Chair of the IPS

<p>Simon Clark is a freelance production sound mixer, educator and Co-Chair of the Institute of Professional Sound (ips.org.uk).</p> <p>Hooked on the process of recording and reproducing sound from the age of 10 he started his professional life in TV sound post-production, worked in documentaries for 15 years travelling around the globe before making the world of location drama his professional home in the 1990s.</p> <p>During his early career in professional audio, he learnt entirely by trial and error at work and that experience has made him a passionate advocate for structured training within the Film and TV industry. He was Head of Production Sound Recording at the National Film and TV School in the UK for 7 years and has written many technical articles for <i>Resolution</i>&nbsp;magazine.</p>
