Sara Thornes and Sarah Grund are Academic Instructional Designers in the Distance Learning Team at Leeds Becket University. They have worked in Higher Education for over 10 years and have extensive experience in pedagogical design, online learning, web design and project management. As Academic Instructional Designers they work with faculties and services to create and actively promote a robust and supportive structure for the development and delivery of high quality, flexible, innovative and accessible online courses. These provide an excellent experience to Distance Learners - by engaging, motivating and empowering both academics and students.
