Ross joined Raymond James in 2016 to lead the firm’s upstream E&P practice. A Calgarian born and bred, Ross was previously head of leveraged finance and HY Capital Markets at a leading Canadian independent broker dealer. Prior to that he was on the Debt Capital Markets desk of the largest Canadian bank-owned dealer where he spent the balance of his career in New York. Ross has originated, structured and executed over $35 billion of high yield and investment grade transactions in both CAD and USD ranging in credit quality from AA to CCC. Ross was a finalist for IIAC’s “Top Under 40” award in 2015 and was named to Wealth Professional Magazine’s 2016 “Hot List” as one of the 50 most influential financial professionals in Canada. Prior to his career in the capital markets, Ross proudly served his country as a Main Battle Tank Commander. Conducting both domestic and international operations, he was awarded the Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal and the NATO Medal of Service for operations in the Former Yugoslavia. Ross earned his undergraduate degree with Honours from the Royal Military College of Canada and obtained a Masters of Business Administration from Yale University.
