Brian Thomas is a Executive Managing Director – Real Assets, at PGIM Private Capital. Thomas oversees the investment and asset management activities within the Energy Finance Group’s Oil & Gas office. This includes managing a portfolio totaling $7.3 billion* of private debt and equity securities in more than 100 energy companies and energy infrastructure projects. The Energy Finance Group, based in Dallas, Texas, oversees all global energy-related debt and equity investment opportunities on behalf of Prudential Capital Group. The Energy Finance Group focuses on companies and management teams operating across the energy value chain, including oil and gas exploration and production; midstream gathering, processing, transmission and storage; oilfield services; and renewable and conventional power generation and transmission. Prudential Capital Group is a private institutional investment division of Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE:PRU), managing a $72 billion* portfolio. Prudential Capital originates up to $12 billion, annually, of new private capital investments through its Regional Office Network: Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Frankfurt, Los Angeles, London, Milan, Minneapolis, Newark, New York, Paris and San Francisco. Brian received a BBA and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry, specialising in the energy sector for the past 24 years, Ryan has the breadth of vision to develop high level strategies and deliver risk management solutions to an ever-changing and transitioning energy sector. He gained his upstream energy expertise after joining an international broking company in 2001 during which time he was seconded to London working on the regions of North America and Asia Pacific. Having joined Gallagher some 14 years ago, Ryan has lead the expansion of the Gallagher energy practice beyond Australia and into the Pacific region. Ryan also has strong ties to the Asian energy sector, whilst simultaneously fulfilling a senior executive role within the Gallagher global energy practice. Alexandre Matczak is an investment banker with 20 years of experience in the O&G/Energy M&A advisory and financing space. Alex has spent 10 years covering the Asian market out of Singapore and the last 10 years in London covering the western hemisphere. Alex has joined Standard Chartered in 2010. Prior experience includes, CERA, BNP Paribas, HSBC and the European Investment Bank (EIB). Cecilio Velasco (New York) joined KKR in 2012 and is a Director on the Infrastructure team. Mr. Velasco leads KKR’s energy transition investments in the Americas. During his time at KKR, Mr. Velasco has worked with the Americas, Asia-Pacific and European infrastructure teams and has been involved in a number of investments globally including Pinnacle Towers, Ecorbit, First Gen, Nitrogen Renewables, NextEra Energy Partners, Acciona Energia Internacional, Bayonne Water and Middletown Water, among others.
