Rogier Slaman is lecturer Communication at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, where he is involved in both teaching and course development. Rogier has gained experience in professional practice while working for several communication consultancies. For more than ten years, he was employed as communications consultant with knowledge in the areas of media (relations), public relations and digital trends.With his practical experience, Rogier enjoys tutoring students for projects, internships and graduation assignments. At HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, education and research are closely related. In cooperation with the research group Cross-Media Business and a group of 4 ‘excellent’ students, Rogier Slaman researched the so-called 'user experience' of the electronic learning environment. Based on the research outcomes, they redesigned the electronic learning environment from a ‘target audience (students) point-of-view’.
