Rob Raven is Professor of Sustainability Transitions and Deputy Director (Research) at Monash Sustainable Development Institute, and Visiting Professor at Utrecht University. His research examines how socio-technical innovation, governance, and place-based experimentation drive transitions to sustainable futures. He co-leads the Energy Upgrades for Australian Homes project, a national collaboration developing community-oriented platforms to accelerate household energy retrofits. Rob is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia and a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher, with extensive publications and policy engagement across energy, urban, waste, and mobility transitions.
