Mr. Richard Hong is the Executive Vice President of TÜV SÜD South Asia & Southeast Asia, Middle East & Africa region (ASMEA). Richard focuses on maintaining and expanding TÜV SÜD’s network within the ASEAN region, and collaborates with key stakeholders in Singapore. He is the TÜV SÜD Ambassador and Professional Coach for the company's Key Talent Pool in ASMEA. With over 30 years at TÜV SÜD, Richard has held leadership roles, including CEO of TÜV SÜD ASEAN and Global ICM Director of TÜV SÜD Product Service. Richard played a pivotal role in TÜV SÜD’s ASEAN growth, building new competencies and strong industry relationships. His leadership earned him the NTUC Medal of Commendation (2024) for contributions to the Labour Movement and Singapore Industrial and Services Employees' Union. Beyond TÜV SÜD, he serves a leadership position in multiple industry panels, including Singapore Manufacturing Federation, Plastic Recycling Association of Singapore, SGTECH Digital Trust Chapter, IECEE Policy & Strategy Committee and Interim Sustainability Standards Committee established by ACRA. Richard also serves as a mentor in the Singapore Leaders Network Fellowship Mentoring Programme. Richard holds a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, a Master of Science (Industrial & Systems Engineering) from National University of Singapore, a Master of Finance from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and the Certified Financial Planner certification from the Financial Planning Association of Singapore. Richard is also an ICF Associate Certified Coach, an Accredited Belbin® Team Role Coach, a Team Psychological Safety Certified Practitioner, a Certified Mental Wellness Coach & Facilitator, and a Certified Career Coach.
