Raj joined ExxonMobil in September 2023 and currently has responsibility for ExxonMobil’s commercial activities in the low carbon solutions space in Asia Pacific with a focus on carbon capture and sequestration and low carbon power. Raj has held a variety of management positions, including senior manager at Repsol, responsible for regional acquisition & divestment activity in the Asia Pacific & Russia, and senior commercial adviser in Santos, responsible for origination, commercial strategy and execution of exploration new ventures. Beyond these principal remits, Raj has also managed joint ventures, led large dispute resolutions and negotiated production sharing contracts. Prior to his corporate roles, Raj was an investment banker at JP Morgan (London) and Deutsche Bank (Hong Kong). During his 18-year career, Raj has originated and executed multi-billion-dollar transactions across Asia Pacific, Europe, United States and Africa. Raj has an MEng Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London and an MS Management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
