Rahul Swaminathan is a Senior Research Scientist/Expert at the Deutsche Telokom's Innovation Laboratory in Berlin as well as Lecturer at the Technical University Berlin. Besides these responsibilities he is also the founder and director of Weekend Labs, a new startup based on core vision based augmented reality mobile applications and services. Born in Bombay, India, in 1974, he received B.E. in Computer Engineering from University of Pune, in 1996 and M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Columbia University, New York, USA , in 1998 and 2003 respectively. Currently his research interests span areas of augmented reality, vision as well as machine learning.
