Daniel Friedrich holds the Personal Chair of Energy Systems in the School of Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. His current research focus is on the integration of thermal energy systems into the wider energy system to achieve a just and net zero society. This research is performed in collaboration with industrial partners and colleagues from a wide range of disciplines to tackle this societal challenge.
