<p>Peter is a Lead Engineer at BBC R&amp;D with extensive experience of&nbsp;broadcast and technology, including video compression, file-based&nbsp;acquisition and networked media, and work on virtual graphics led to a Queen&rsquo;s award for Innovation for BBC. &nbsp;He led BBC&rsquo;s demonstration of a UHD IP Studio for the 2014 Commonwealth Games, paving the way for today&rsquo;s IP based systems based on technologies such as ST 2110 and NMOS. &nbsp;</p> <p>Peter is&nbsp;a frequent&nbsp;contributor to industry work on interoperability, an SMPTE Fellow, co-author of the JT-NM&nbsp;Networked Media Reference Architecture, and chair of several AMWA and EBU groups. He is co-chair of &nbsp;EBU&rsquo;s Dynamic Media Facility initiative addressing technical transformation of live production through containerisation&nbsp;and cloud-first technology, and is on the leadership team of the open source Media eXchange Layer project.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
