<p>1993年に通商産業省（現経済産業省）入省。通商政策局通商機構部総括参事官、貿易経済協力局戦略輸出交渉官等を歴任し、2023年7月より防衛省防衛装備庁長官官房審議官に着任。<br /> 東京大学法学部卒（法学士）、フレッチャー法律外交大学院修了（修士）、博士（政策研究）。</p> <p>Dr. Osamu Nishiwaki serves as Deputy Commissioner of Acquisition, Technology &amp;Logistics Agency (ATLA), Ministry of Defense, Japan, since July 2023. In this role, he is responsible for various issues, including defense export and international affairs. &nbsp;<br /> Dr. Nishiwaki holds a doctorate in policy studies from National Graduate Institute of Policy Studies, a master&rsquo;s degree in law and diplomacy from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, US, and a bachelor&rsquo;s degree in law for the University of Tokyo.</p>
