Nic Dorward is General Manager of Government and International Relations at the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA). Since joining the Agency in 2022, Nic has overseen ministerial and departmental engagement across all of ARENA’s multi-billion dollar funding programs, including those attached to the Government’s Future Made in Australia agenda. Nc also manages ARENA’s international engagements, including MoUs with strategic partner nations and the agency’s COP activity. He is an experienced advocate and communicator with a decade’s experience in political and human rights campaigning, media and social change. In his current role, Nic leads policy engagement and partnerships between ARENA and federal and state governments, other Specialist Investment Vehicles, to support the agency’s work in renewable energy innovation, energy transition projects, community and First Nations energy and electrification, and industrial-scale decarbonisation.
