<p>Michael Bharwani is the Deputy Head of Data Mesh Initiative Management at UBS. He is also a Director within the UBS Group Chief Technology Office&rsquo;s Product Management department.&nbsp;</p> <p>Michael is a member of the program leadership team responsible for building UBS&rsquo; Enterprise Data Mesh platform, which revolutionizes how UBS&rsquo; 110,000 staff globally discover, access and utilize data across the firm, by decentralizing UBS&rsquo; data architecture to embed data ownership and data governance at source; one of the first Data Meshes in the banking industry. Additionally in August 2025, Michael project managed the creation of the initial proof of concept of UBS&rsquo; Enterprise Agentic Service Ecosystem (EASE),&nbsp; which delivers fully traceable, auditable and replayable multi AI-agent and agent to tooling communication.</p> <p>Previously, Michael led Agile delivery on UBS&rsquo; global Artificial Intelligence, Data and Analytics (ADA) program; mobilized to build and provide AI infused capabilities and tools to UBS&rsquo; Engineering/Developer community. &nbsp;</p> <p>Michael&rsquo;s work earned him the esteemed honour of being nominated by UBS and subsequently shortlisted in the &lsquo;Employee of the Year&rsquo; category at both the 2024 and 2025 editions of the Black Tech Achievement Awards.&nbsp;</p> <p>Additionally, Michael was selected and graduated as part of the inaugural cohort of the UBS Chief Digital &amp; Information Office Black Employee (CUBE) leadership program, specifically designed to aid the progression of high-potential black/mixed-black technology leaders.&nbsp;</p> <p>Michael is an active mentor; having successfully mentored three Associate Directors to promotion over the past two years. Additionally, he is committed to inclusion and diversity and has proactively supported UBS&rsquo; agenda in this space, through membership of various diversity groups and representing the firm at events.
