Prof. Mariana Mocanu, Ph.D. (with habilitation) (female) is professor at University Politehnica of Bucharest and was Head of the Computer Science and Engineering Department between 2016 and 2020. She is member of the University Senate and of the Faculty Board. Prof. Mocanu coordinates the “e-Government” master study program. She was part of the team that implemented the National Qualification Framework in Romania and participated in numerous European and Romanian projects related to curricula development and quality assurance in higher education. Her main research interests include Interoperable products and services for decision support, based on geospatial data; Developing information systems for industrial and economic processes; System engineering and Project management. She has published over 100 scientific papers, the works being quoted over 350 times. She was coordinator of the H2020 Twinning project: Data4Water (2016-2018). Prof. Mocanu is co-author of 2 patents.
