Marco Arcelli is Advisor to the Chairman (and former CEO) of Acwa, the Saudi national champion for the energy transition, with a portfolio of 109 assets in operation, advanced development, or under construction, representing SAR 455 billion (USD 121.3 billion) of assets under management as of 31 March 2026. During his tenure as CEO, he led Acwa’s growth to become the world's largest private water desalination company, the first mover into green hydrogen at scale, and a leader in global power generation. At the same time, Acwa has expanded its global footprint, strengthened its institutional foundations, and delivered significant strategic progress, including doubling its portfolio, tripling the speed of activity and improving operational excellence improved, and growing financial strength and market confidence. Marco brings 30 years of international experience across energy, infrastructure, retail, and digital innovation, with prior roles including CEO of Enel North America, CEO of Enel Trade, and Chairman of EP New Energy. He served on multiple boards and mentors women in business and young professionals. He holds a master's in mechanical engineering from the Università degli Studi di Genova, Italy, and completed Harvard's Advanced Management Program.
