Manuel was appointed Vice President Sales for Sustainable Energy Systems, which focuses on power-to-hydrogen and power-to-liquid applications for a hydrogen-based economy, in March 2022. Prior to this, he was heading Sales for Middle East and Africa. Between 2014 and 2020 Manuel was heading Strategy and Business Development at Siemens’ Middle East headquarters in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi. Key activities during this time included driving transformational projects in the power sector – including projects in Egypt and Iraq, as well as the partnership between Siemens and Expo2020 Dubai. He was also a Member of the Board of Siemens Pakistan Engineering Company between July 2017 to May 2022. Manuel’s career in Siemens started in 2005, at Siemens Management Consulting (SMC) in Munich. He holds a Diploma in Industrial Engineering from TU Ilmenau in Germany, and a post-graduate Diploma in Advanced Management from ESMT in Berlin.
