Drs. Mabelle Hernández currently is programme managerof the University-wide Educate-it programme (innovation and Technology) and responsible for the implementation of Blended Learning and Educational change at Utrecht University. Before she was programme manager Education and ICT at the Faculty of Humanities. Intercultural communication and sharing educational experiences and successes always had her interest. She therefore participated as a researcher in 2 projects in the LLL Programme funded by the European Commission: Networked Interaction in Foreign Language Acquisition and Research (2012) and Telecollaboration for intercultural language acquisition (2014). In 2014 she graduated as a certified mediator. These specific mediator skills are very valuable in her daily work as manager of an innovative educational programme. In 2012 she was involved in setting up the Teaching Academy Utrecht University as an educational advisor and member of the Editorial Board. In all of her roles she actively plays a part in organizing educational change, advising on Academic Development, giving workshops and contributing to (inter)national conferences.
