Lina is the Regional Head of Sustainable Finance, West at Standard Chartered Bank, which encompasses the regions of the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas. She has over 16 years of banking experience in Corporate Finance primarily and in investment banking, delivering innovative deal origination and execution across various industries and regions. Lina has also developed key relationships with clients and governments in the region, and has been part of several working groups to identify solutions to mobilize capital towards green, social, and transition projects. In her role, she continues to advise clients on sustainable finance solutions and transition opportunities and is a board member of the MENA Clean Energy Business Council (“CEBC”). Lina holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance (Magna Cum Laude) from the American University of Sharjah, and an MBA with distinction from London Business School.
