Keiran is a long-term advocate for the importance of energy efficiency and the integration of distributed energy resources in the energy transition. He has worked for the Victorian Government since 2019, on policies and programs including Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU), Solar Homes, the Neighbourhood Battery Initiative, and Victoria’s Renewable Energy Target. Keiran is currently the Manager of Regulatory Reform within the VEU Branch of Solar Victoria, where he leads a team that is driving key initiatives to modernise program design and ensure the regulatory framework better supports Victoria’s largest energy users. Keiran and his team are working on reforms to promote innovation and accelerate the adoption of new technologies across the commercial and industrial sectors. Before joining the Victorian Government, Keiran worked for several years as an Energy Analyst at the non-profit sustainability organisation, Renew. Prior to this, Keiran worked in London for the UK Government on a range of energy efficiency and renewable energy incentive programs and white certificate schemes.
