Josef Tadich is a Chartered Professional Engineer and Fellow of the Electrical College of the Institute of Engineers Australia, having been awarded National Professional Electrical Engineer of the year by Engineers Australia in 2021 . He began his career as an Engineering Officer in the Royal Australian Navy, and after peace-keeping activities in Iraq dedicated his career to renewable energy. With over 20 years of experience in the renewable industry, he joined Tesla in 2015 to lead the APAC engineering team for residential/utility battery storage and EV charging infrastructure, and has an expert understanding of the Australian energy market. Since 2022, Josef has been the Regional Director for Tesla Energy in APAC, as well as executive Director of Tesla Motors Australia for the energy and vehicles businesses with an annual revenue of over $5B and around 1000 employees and growing. Josef has an engineering degree from UNSW, and Masters degrees in Engineering Management and Energy Systems from RMIT and Melbourne University, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
