Jon has 30 years’ experience in physical and financial energy markets. He began his career with BP in Australia in 1990, then at Mitsui & Co. before moving to Commonwealth Bank in Sydney where he built a client-focused energy derivatives sales and marketing business for the bank. Following senior client-facing capital markets roles with Bank of America in Singapore and London and with Standard Chartered Bank and Société Générale in London, Jon re-joined BP in 2011. His current focus is originating structured risk management solutions in acquisition and development finance transactions for oil and gas producers within EMEA. Jon holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland, Australia.
