Jim Cederberg is the President and Founder of Shalebox Inc. At Shalebox, Jim leads the organization in creating custom algorithmic solutions for technical and economic evaluations of oil and gas assets. By tailoring solutions to the unique needs of its mineral buyer and E&P clients, Shalebox enables them to gain a proprietary edge as they can evaluate deals rapidly at scale. He previously worked in Shell’s Permian Basin and New Ventures organizations where he held a variety of geology, reservoir engineering and economic roles leading A&D evaluations both in the U.S. and internationally tying technical data to economics and complex deal structures. Additionally, Jim has created artificial intelligence software products previously featured in The Wall Street Journal and Forbes managing them from inception, through development and on to deployment. Jim holds a B.S. from Northeastern University, a M.S. in Computational Geoscience from Penn State University, and a MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
