Jane Butler is the General Manager, Electrification and Innovation at AGL, responsible for bringing sustainable and scalable electrification solutions to market for Australian households including AGL’s flagship Electrify Now platform and suite of e-mobility, solar battery and virtual power plant products. Jane has over 20 years’ experience in the energy and manufacturing sectors, her career has focused on the nexus of energy and technology and the human and commercial drivers that are shaping the transition. Her previous roles have primarily focused on decarbonisation and energy efficiency in the commercial and industrial segment, spanning growth strategy and product development, commercial solar and storage, flexibility and demand response, project management and industrial energy and utilities management. She brings a unique combination of skills and a deep understanding of the opportunities and the technical and commercial realities of the energy transition. Jane is also a Non-Executive Director at the Energy Efficiency Council and holds a Masters of Engineering in Sustainable Energy, along with Bachelor Degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Science.
