Jakob Louis Pedersen has worked with the green transition for nearly three decades and brings extensive experience in offshore wind policy, regulation and market frameworks. Before joining the DEA, Jakob was Team Lead and Energy Expert for Wind Energy at the Royal Danish Consulate General in New York, where he built and managed the Danish–North America Wind Energy Platforms. In this role, he coordinated high-level delegations, sector collaborations, and market and government dialogues across the US and Canada. Jakob has also held senior positions in leading consultancy companies, including COWI, Rambøll, and NIRAS, specializing in techno-economic analysis, impact and market assessments, and stakeholder engagement in the green energy sector. He also served as a climate negotiator for Denmark at COP15. Jakob holds a Master’s degree in Economics (Cand.polit.) from the University of Copenhagen.
