Action With Purpose: “I have a unique perspective on this year's theme,” Fatemeh said. “While it's important to recognize cues to action and embrace momentum, it's equally vital to ensure that forward movement is part of our collective journey. We all need to keep the ultimate goal in mind: patient outcomes.” Fatemeh is helping to coordinate sessions on patient education and promoting evidence-based interventions. “One of the speakers I am especially excited about focuses on health literacy,” she said. She is also dedicated to helping nurses take care of themselves. “Over the past decade, nurses have come to understand the importance of self-care to both professional practice and mental well-being,” she said. “I often tell my colleagues, if you are looking for a few days to recharge while staying connected to your inner calling as an oncology nurse and engaging with others who share similar emotions, ONS Congress is the place to be!”
