Erwin Chong is the Managing Director of Group Corporate Real Estate Strategy and Administration at DBS Bank, overseeing a global portfolio of over 6 million square feet across owned and leased retail branches, ATM lobbies, and office spaces. Since joining in 2013, he has played a central role in transforming the bank’s workplace strategy. Erwin led the conceptualisation and rollout of Joyspace - a visionary initiative that reimagined nearly all of DBS’s office spaces across the region. Drawing on behavioural science, he also shaped the Future of Work strategy by embedding wellness, human connection, and hybrid work rhythms into workplace design. A strong sustainability advocate, he led DBS to carbon neutrality across its Singapore operations and launched DBS Newton Green, the country’s first net-zero retrofit by a bank, all in 2022.
