<p>Ed Calverley is a broadcast engineer, consultant and trainer. Starting his career with the BBC in 1999, as a project manager, and later as a lecturer at the BBC Engineering Training Department (Wood Norton). While at OmniBus (later acquired by Miranda, now GV) he was involved in large automation, newsroom, and MAM installations and became product manager for iTX software-based solution for linear TV Playout. Holding roles at OASYS and Suitcase TV he continued to innovate and grew his experience of software engineering and IP technologies in media.</p> <p>Founding Q3 Media in 2018, his consulting experience includes Cloud Playout platforms, product development, AI/ML processing, video system design/installation and general broadcast engineering including working on systems operating using SMPTE 2110. As a trainer he specialises in audio/video fundamentals, systems &amp; workflows, and IP -based media systems.</p>
