E. David Burt, JP, MP, is Bermuda's 13th and youngest Premier, elected at 38. An alumnus of Florida Air Academy, he earned his private pilot’s license as a teen and graduated cum laude from George Washington University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Information Systems. Premier Burt holds a Master’s in Information Systems Development and a Project Management Professional certification.In 2004, he founded GMD Consulting Limited, an IT firm, and co-developed the award-winning HITCH Mobile App. As leader of the Bermuda Progressive Labour Party since 2016, he has secured three election victories and championed a progressive agenda, introducing Bermuda’s first statutory minimum wage and significant tax reforms. His government has invested in education, affordable housing, and seniors’ pensions while achieving the first budget surplus in over 20 years. Premier Burt, married to Kristin since 2012, is a proud father of two, Nia and Edward.
