Dr Sudhagar Pitchaimuthu is an Associate Professor in the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences and Associate Director of the Research Centre for Carbon Solutions (RCCS) at Heriot Watt University. A globally recognised expert in clean energy and hydrogen systems, he has contributed to international policy panels and advises EU, UKRI and Scottish Government research programmes. His work spans green hydrogen production, sustainable energy systems and industry–academia innovation, including projects demonstrating integrated hydrogen ecosystems. Ranked in the global top 2% of applied physics researchers, he also serves as Co Chair of the ERPE Energy Working Group, advancing impactful net zero energy solutions.
