Dr Lasantha Meegahapola is currently employed as an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at RMIT University, Australia. He received his PhD from the Queen's University of Belfast, UK in 2010. Dr. Meegahapola has more than 18 years of research experience in power system dynamics & stability with renewable power generation, microgrids and demand response. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed journal and conference articles and supervised 18 PhD students. He also led and contributed to over 20 industry- and government-funded projects and attracted more than $4 million in research funding.
