Dr Niblett is an EPSRC Open Fellow at Newcastle University leading a 5-year research programme on intensification and optimisation of next-generation water electrolysis technology using simulations, structure optimisation and additive manufacturing. He has expertise in computational modelling of fluid dynamics, electrochemical devices and energy storage scenarios. He leads the development of a new type of 'membraneless' electrolyser that has the possibility of decreasing alkaline electrolyser costs.
