Dave accepted the role as the global leader for Aon’s Natural Resources Industry Specialty Group in September 2021. He also serves as a member of Aon’s Global Commercial Risk Leadership Team. In addition to Dave’s management roles, he is actively engaged in various broking, strategy, and advisory roles with many of Aon’s Natural Resources clients. Experience Dave began his insurance career in 1994, working 11 years as an energy broker in New York, then London. He became one of the original members of Benfield Corporate Risk’s executive team and led its London energy team from 2005 to 2008. He then relocated to Houston to lead Benfield’s North American Energy practice. Benfield merged with Aon in 2008, and David took on various responsibilities within Aon’s Energy practice. Prior to assuming his current role, Dave was Aon’s North American Energy Practice Leader. Expertise Dave leads Aon’s Global Natural Resources Industry Practice. His expertise includes complex insurance program design for clients in various natural resources industry sectors. His experience includes implementing risk transfer strategies with conventional and alternative risk and insurance providers having worked across various industries in US and London markets
