A former police officer and corporate security manager, Damian has extensive experience of security operations and emergency response planning in both the public and private sectors. As an Inspector in the Hong Kong Police for fifteen years, Damian served in operational, intelligence and training roles before joining Hong Kong’s Mass Transit Railway Corporation (MTRC Limited) in a facilities security role in 2004. A security consultant since 2006, he has focused on the design of operational, crisis and manpower plans for a series of significant commercial property and infrastructure developments throughout the region. He has specialised in threat, risk and vulnerability assessments, and on security solution concept design, implementation and project management for multinational clients. He has consulted extensively on security for clients in the hospitality, banking and finance industries, as well as on government master planning projects. Damian Joined Arup in 2010 and leads the East Asia Resilience | Security | Risk practice, heading a specialist team of planners and engineers and providing security consulting services to other disciplines within Arup and direct to Clients. He is a Certified Protection Professional (2008) and is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security.
