Cyndi Young-Puyear is Director of Brownfield & Learfield Ag, where she oversees Brownfield Ag News and its expanding team of agricultural journalists. Cyndi grew up on a seventh-generation family grain and livestock farm in Scott County, Illinois, shaping a lifelong passion for agriculture. She studied agricultural education and animal science at Western Illinois University and began her career in agricultural broadcasting in 1985 at WJIL Radio in Jacksonville, Illinois, transitioning from student teaching high school agriculture into ag radio. Her career includes roles with Oklahoma Agrinet and as Farm Director at WTAX in Springfield, Illinois, before joining Brownfield in 1998. Over the decades, Cyndi has traveled extensively across the United States and to 16 countries, covering agriculture for Midwestern farmers and audiences nationwide.
