Courtney Hartzell is a graduate student in the International Higher Education master’s degree program at Boston College. Courtney actively presents on issues of Internationalisation of the Curriculum (IoC). After attaining her bachelor's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language, she moved to Istanbul, Turkey and started her teaching career. She continued teaching English at international schools in India and Germany, and most notably, redesigned and implemented a new curriculum while in southern India. She has had experience leading professional development workshops, developing curricula, and researching emerging trends and challenges in international higher education.
