<p>Dr. Carsten Poppinga is the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Uniper since 1st August 2023 and has held numerous senior positions in the energy industry since 2001.</p> <p>Prior to assuming his position as CCO of Uniper, he was the Managing Director of Statkraft Markets GmbH in Germany (2008-2011) and OMV Trading GmbH in Vienna (2011-2014). Additionally, he held the role of Vice President Proprietary Trading at Statkraft Markets GmbH in Germany (2015-2017) and assumed the function of Senior Vice President Trading &amp; Origination Europe and USA in 2017 until 2023.</p> <p>Apart from his position as CCO of Uniper, he holds a PhD in mathematics.</p>
