Captain Neeraj is a seasoned Master Mariner and recognized specialist in maritime decarbonization, bringing deep technical and operational expertise in ammonia as a marine fuel. His extensive hands-on experience spans Ammonia, Ethane and LPG carriers, enabling him to bridge theory with practical application. He has also served as LNG STS Superintendent/POAC, further strengthening his operational credentials and spearheaded high-impact initiatives such as the Ammonia Proxy Bunkering Pilot Project and has contributed to Singapore’s national frameworks for ammonia bunkering through the Technical Working Group. As MOL’s subject-matter expert on ammonia fuel systems, he provides strategic guidance on feasibility, safety, regulatory compliance, and technology development. He also helps to drive research in green fuel, foster stakeholder collaboration, and advances sustainability strategies to support the safe and scalable adoption of ammonia as a next-generation marine fuel.
