Since joining ClassNK in 2009 as a naval architect, he has served as a technical expert in the design and plan approval for liquefied gas carriers, as well as oil and chemical tankers. He has also served as LNG STS Superintendent/POAC, further strengthening his operational credentials and spearheaded high-impact initiatives such as the Ammonia Proxy Bunkering Pilot Project and has contributed to Singapore’s national frameworks for ammonia bunkering through the Technical Working Group. As MOL’s subject-matter expert on ammonia fuel systems, he provides strategic guidance on feasibility, safety, regulatory compliance, and technology development. He also helps to drive research in green fuel, foster stakeholder collaboration, and advances sustainability strategies to support the safe and scalable adoption of ammonia as a next-generation marine fuel.
