Brynjar Foss is a professor of human physiology at the University of Stavanger (UiS), Norway. After his PhD (2001) Foss worked as a secondary education teacher and studied pedagogy and didactics. After five years, Foss ended up at the UiS where he has contributed extensively in the development and implementation of various digital learning tools. This includes the E-compendiums and podcasts, game based learning tools and various on-demand lectures. Furthermore, Foss participated in the testing and implementation of digital exams at UiS and published UiS’ first MOOC in March 2014. Foss have also been among the initiators of e-learning research at UiS.
