Brandon Henriquez is the founder of Video Game Amateurs (VGA), a New York City-based gaming, esports and youth development company focused on building community-centered events, scholastic programming and digital pathways for young people. Through VGA, he has helped lead partnerships and programming with organizations including the NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, NYC Public Schools, DYCD and brand partners such as ASUS ROG, Red Bull, Microsoft and Nike. His work spans live event production, collegiate and scholastic esports development, youth engagement, and citywide gaming initiatives, including the New York City Video Game Festival, Power Up Festival, and the New York City Collegiate Esports Circuit. He is passionate about creating opportunities for students, schools and communities to engage with gaming not just as entertainment, but as a platform for education, competition, creativity, and career exposure.
