Bob is a Partner and Global Sector Head of Energy. He has particular experience in upstream oil and gas work having acted for exploration and production companies and service companies for many years. He is a regular speaker at industry events and recognised as "a leader in his field" by Legal 500 and Chambers. Bob has acted on a wide variety of projects and "deals" in the UKCS and overseas representing oil majors, independents, utilities, individuals, service companies, private equity houses and banks. Bob's wider power and electricity experience was gained initially during the privatisation of the UK electricity industry and more recently in the context of offshore renewables in particular. Bob is a member of the editorial board of the International Energy Law Review and a former member of both the Operating Board and the Court of the University of Aberdeen.
