He is French law qualified and has over 27 years of experience helping international businesses, whether new entrants to the Africa market or established operators on the continent, on the legal aspects of their operations and projects in Francophone North and sub-Saharan Africa, with a particular focus on the oil, gas and mining sectors. Bertrand returned to the firm's Paris office in May 2019 after spending just over two years leading the Francophone Africa practice in the Johannesburg office.
