Bastiaan Jaarsma is project lead UHS at EBN, state energy company of the Netherlands . He has been working as project manager at EBN since 2011, on topics such as oil & gas exploration, induced seismicity in the Groningen gas field and ultradeep geothermal energy. For the last 4 years, Bastiaan has been leading EBN’s program on underground hydrogen storage, with a focus on advancing UHS in depleted gas fields, in close corporation with market parties, government and research organizations. Before joining EBN, Bastiaan worked in the oil and gas industry. He holds a Masters in Geophysics from the University of Utrecht.
