Andreas joins us as Sweden’s first Master Sommelier, the 290th person worldwide to achieve the prestigious title by the Court of Master Sommeliers. An internationally respected wine authority, Andreas has served as a judge at leading competitions including the Decanter World Wine Awards, IWSC, and Bacchus International, regularly assessing benchmark regions such as Bordeaux, Burgundy, Italy, Germany, and England. His career spans senior wine leadership roles across leading restaurants and luxury hotels in Europe, where he has overseen complex wine programmes, driven commercial performance, and implemented structured training for service teams. Alongside his operational experience, Andreas is deeply committed to education and mentorship, and remains actively involved in developing the next generation of hospitality professionals. Andreas’ appointment marks an important step in strengthening the Club’s wine programme, with Members able to look forward to his involvement across tastings, education, cellar direction, and the broader wine experience at the Club.
