Aditi Phansalkar is a Senior Researcher at the UTS Institute for Sustainable Futures, where she co-leads and project manages large-scale, funded research projects on energy upgrades. With over 12 years’ experience spanning public and private sector, she has co-led transformative initiatives on shared solar, flexible demand, and retrofit funding models, partnering with government, industry, and community housing providers. Her current focus is removing barriers for rental energy upgrades by unpacking the disconnect between private renters, real estate agents and landlords. Aditi also serves on the ISF Board, driving strategic direction and sustainability outcomes. Trained as an architect, she is passionate about ensuring every Australian home, the older especially older ones, is thermally comfortable, energy-efficient, and climate-resilient.
